By accessing or using PermitTracker ("Service") at permittracker.io, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our Service.

2. Description of Service

PermitTracker is a business permit and license renewal tracking service that helps you manage permit expiration dates and receive automated reminders via email and SMS text messages. The Service includes:

  • Permit and license tracking dashboard
  • Automated expiration reminders via email
  • Automated expiration reminders via SMS/text message (opt-in required)
  • Document storage for permit-related files
  • Renewal cost tracking and reporting

3. User Accounts

To use PermitTracker, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use

4. SMS/Text Message Program Terms

By enabling SMS notifications in your account settings, you expressly consent to receive automated text messages from PermitTracker. Please read the following carefully:

Message Content

You will receive automated reminders when your business permits or licenses are approaching their expiration dates. Messages include permit name, expiration date, and renewal instructions.

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on the number of permits you track and your configured reminder intervals (e.g., 60, 30, 14, 5 days before expiration). You control the reminder schedule in your account settings.

Opt-Out Instructions

To stop receiving SMS messages, reply STOP to any message. You may also disable SMS notifications in your account settings at https://permittracker.io/dashboard/settings. After opting out, you will receive a confirmation message.

Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply. Check with your mobile carrier for details about your text messaging plan.

Supported Carriers

5. Subscription Plans and Payments

Free Plan

The Free plan includes up to 10 permits per year with email and SMS reminders at no cost.

Professional Plan

The Professional plan costs $99/year and includes unlimited permits. Payment is processed securely through Stripe.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account billing settings. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to paid features until the end of your billing period.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service
  • Upload malicious content or viruses
  • Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited messages
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT REMINDERS WILL BE DELIVERED ON TIME OR AT ALL. YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR TRACKING YOUR PERMIT EXPIRATION DATES AND ENSURING TIMELY RENEWALS. PERMITTRACKER IS A REMINDER TOOL AND DOES NOT REPLACE YOUR OBLIGATION TO MONITOR YOUR PERMITS.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PERMITTRACKER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR FAILURE TO RECEIVE REMINDERS.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PermitTracker and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
